Oban to Oban Cruise
On our Oban to Oban cruise we will be certainly looking in at Port Appin, an ex- fishing village sheltered by the isle of Lismore, both just north of Oban, with the atmospheric views of Castle Stalker on a rocky island.
If we have a period of calm weather and a good forecast then it would be great to do an anti-clockwise tour of Mull, calling at Tobermory (or Loch Sunart) and then we could pause at destinations such as Fingal’s cave and Iona, but both are open to the south west so the calm weather is a must.
In less calm weather we can stay in the shelter of the islands and then which direction we go depends on the wind. Other destinations could be Crinan, Islay, Jura, the east side of Mull and the spectacular lochs on the mainland’s peninsulas.
