Dieppe Dash

No apology for a little bragging (Stewart was the race skipper btw!); pictured, the team who won the Dash, SCCH class race, in May 2015.  From the left Ingmar, Debbie, Jon, Richard, Terry, Steve and Stewart.  With a little help from the weather we crossed in 9 hours 20 minutes, which for, give-or-take, 70NM makes nearly 8kn average. More canvas!

So on to the 2019 race.  We are waiting for the race to go up on the DD web site, but we have planned for it to be over the May bank holiday weekend, so outline plan is:

• Thursday evening 2/5:  come on board, provision for the weekend, prepare BB for racing, and probably move her to the visitor pontoons in the main marina.
• Friday 3/5:  early start and DD race
• Saturday 4/5:  Relax, tourism (Saturday market and castle “vaux la visite”) and race reception.   Possibly dinner at La Dieppoise.
• Sunday 5/5:  day sail or cross back to Brighton
• Monday 6/5: cross back to Brighton if not on Sunday
