Kyle of Lochalsh

We are planning a week’s exploration of the area near Kyle of Lochalsh.  This will allow us to see the delights of parts of the islands of Skye, Scalpay and Raasay,  and the mainland lochs of Duich, Carron, Kishorn, Torridon, Sheildaig, or Ewe.  To the South we could find ourselves in Mallaig or Loch Nevis.   There are so many beautiful spots here that we will be spoiled for choice.  As ever the exact destinations will be weather dependent and we will also aim to adapt to the preferences of the crew.  We expect to spend most nights in quiet anchorages enjoying Brighton Belle’s on-board facilities, but will take in some shore facilities where available too.

Kyle of Lochalsh is a sizeable town well suited for crew changes and taking on stores, and we plan to have a vehicle to aid the provisioning.  

Public transport: Served by 4 trains daily from Inverness, which accessible by train or air of course.
