Previous week will make its way to St Peterport , Guernsy where we can swap crew, with flights and ferries back to the uk, and re-provision
As usual the plan for the week depends on wind and sea state. Assuming prevailing SW-W winds, plan for week will be
Saturday afternoon – short hop to anchor off Sark 8nm
Sunday – head for Alderney, bray harbour, normally at anchor- 21nm. Should be time for a water taxi to the shore and exploration of the island
Monday-Wednesday – a couple of:
Cherbourg- accessible at any tide, maritime museum including a nuclear submarine!
St Vaast – recommended as historic and picturesque, but I have never been. Locked in though, so timing is everything
Honfleur – 60nm from Alderney and supposed to be worth a visit
Fecamp – 65nm from st Vaast and still 70 nm or so to Brighton
Given the daylight hours in October, almost certain to be some night sailing on one or more of the passages
