Cruise from Lorient to Pornichet

From Lorient we sail in the area which allows us to visit  Isles of Groix and Belle Isle with their harbours and anchorages; and the miniature islands of Huoat and Hoedic also offer quiet anchorages.We could call into the French large yacht centre of La Trinite sur Mer.If we fancy a day off sailing we could hire bikes to explore the beaches of Belle Isle or investigate the mysterious stone monuments of Carnac, Frances’s Stonehenge.If the tides are right we could go into the enclosed natural harbour of Morbihan or up the river to La Roche Barnard, an over-winter home from home for British yachts.We finish our week at Pornichet, a large marina on a French beach resort close to Nantes Some transport options: Fly Gatwick to Rennes, Train to Lorient or group transfer by taxi, or fly to Nantes and train to Lorient, or train via Eurotunnel and Paris or drive via Cherbourg or St Malo after ferry crossing. From Pornichet train to Nantes or Rennes, Fly to Gatwick, or train via Paris and Eurostar, or drive via St Malo or Cherbourg ferries.
